Senior Living in Fort Worth TX

Our Vision for Independent Senior Living

Aspens Senior Living of Fort Worth, TX, grew from two primary events. Co-founder Dean Eldridge, then in his mid-70s, moved into a high-rise apartment and discovered the joys of maintenance-free living. Dean, along with co-founder Barry Metcalf, realized that the independent senior living rental market underserved a significant segment of active adults—middle-income seniors.

Our History

In 2008, Dean and Barry began creating the business model to develop amenity-rich properties that meet or exceed the standards of traditional class-A independent senior living, but are priced to appeal to active middle-income adults over 55. While comparable buy-in properties have been available for some time, they typically come at a cost that is out of reach for middle-income seniors. Consequently, middle-income seniors looking to rent have had far fewer options, and have often opted to remain in their high-maintenance homes or prematurely moved to assisted living.
